DETAILED INTINERARY
Day 1: HCMC Tour - Cu Chi tunnels (L)
Meet you guide at hotel the you will embark on a city tour with our friendly English Speaking guide. The tour includes a visit to Cholon, Saigon's Chinatown and home to Vietnam 's largest market, the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants museum.
This afternoon begins with a 1.5 hrs drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. This network of tunnels, which stretched for over 200km, became legendary during the 1960s. Back to HCMC for overnight.
Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Be - Vinh Long
This morning we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for it's floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. You will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Rejoin your car for transfer to Can Tho city, heart of the Mekong Delta. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
After breakfast at hotel to enjoy take a boat trip to join in the Cai Rang Floating market. Here each boat usually sells one particular item, whether it be pumpkins, pineapples, sugar cane etc, and in order that the customer knows where to shop, they hang that item from the highest part of the boat. The afternoon is free so you may enjoy the most comfortable property in the Mekong Delta: Victoria Resort Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.
Option for Earlybird: Sunrise Breakfast on the Mekong Princess Cruise
06:30 AM: Enjoy breakfast on the "Mekong Princess Cruise" while cruising to the floating market. When the "Mekong Princess Cruise" arrives at Cai Rang floating market, guests are transferred to a local traditional boat to get inside the market. Then, continue cruising with the hotel's guide along narrow creeks to visit a noodle factory and an orchard. After sampling local fruits, our guide will escort the guests back to the hotel by local boat through the myriad of canals. (The time of Sunrise and Sunset may vary seasonally)
Following this you will rendezvous with your vehicle for the drive to My Tho, where you will visit the Dong Tam snake farm before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in HCMC.
Day 4: HCMC- Da Lat (B/L)
Today you leave Ho Chi Minh City head for the hills, literally. The scenic 7 hour drive along Highway 20 to Da Lat will be broken up by stops at some of the tea and coffee plantations. You will stop for lunch at the picturesque Dambri Fall, about 15 km from the highway. Arriving at Da Lat, sometimes known as the City of Eternal Spring, by late to mid afternoon, you will be able to take a short walk to get a feel for this delightful city. This evening dinner will be at one of the fine restaurants in Dalat city.
Day 5: Da Lat (B/D)
In the morning you will enjoy a private tour of Da Lat and the surrounding area. You visit Bao Dai Palace, the rather bizarre and very aptly named Crazy House, a brightly painted concrete house which winds itself around trees, mimicking their shapes. It now functions as a guesthouse. Next visit is Truc Lam Thien Vien and Pagoda. This afternoon, for those interested, there is a short train ride on the Cremaillere railway to the village of Tri Mat. In the evening, you will taste at other restaurant for Dalat cuisine. Overnight in Dalat.
Day 6: Da Lat - Phan Trang - Nha Trang (B/L)
Your drive today will take you out of Da Lat and back down the Prenn Pass for a stop at the Chicken village, so-called because of its statue of a chicken, inhabited by the Koho minority people. From here you will head East and down the Ngoan Muc pass to the coastal lowlands. Your destination for today is Nha Trang, the country's premier resort town. Your next stop ia at the Po Klong Garai Cham tower. This amazing structure, which has endured the test of time, the elements and indeed war, was built in the 13 th century. You will have lunch at Phan Rang beach and arrive in Nha Trang by late afternoon. You may also enjoy the night life that Nha Trang has to offer. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 7: Nha Trang Free day (B)
Today is a free day in Nha Trang for relaxing and unwinding at the resort overlooking beautiful Bay. Enjoy your time for snorkeling or diving among the coral reefs in crystal blue waters, hiking nature trails, cool off in your private plunge pool, indulge in spa treatments or just relax on the white sand beach and admire the unspoiled mountain and sea views. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 8: Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
You have some free time this morning until transfer to Nha TRang airport for flight back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City or HCMC aitport for your departure flight. Cam on va chao tam biet.
