Today, parts of hoi An look exactly as they did a century and a half ago, and it still preserves hundreds of houses built of precious wood in a very original style of architecture. the rafters and beams of these houses are carved with very subtle patterns and the homes date from the first part of the 19th century or earlier, giving visitors the feeling that they have been transported back in time.

You can take a short bike ride to tra Que to learn how to make some traditional lanterns, visit my Son holy land or take a boat trip to exotic cu lao cham island.  the best time to visit hoi An is from february to April, when the temperature is a pleasant 26c to 30c, and the least rain falls. try to avoid the monsoon rains between September and november.

With its distinctive cuisine, and some glorious beaches a short bike ride away, it is no wonder that hoi An is many visitor’s favorite destination in vietnam
