Phu Quoc is what phuket would be if it hadn't been overrun by development. phu Quoc’s beaches were voted the cleanest and most beautiful in the world by ABc news.  phu Quoc is also famous for producing the best “nuoc mam” or fermented fish sauce in the world.

Most people come to phu Quoc for active holidays. the pristine hard and soft coral, especially off the small islands to the south, are often hidden by masses of colorful fish. those without their own transport could also arrange a tour of the island, making sure to pass by some pepper plantations and the war memorial and former prison, both of which are located in the south of the island.  There are few upscale resorts on the island, but this is expected to change.
